Sokoya is a Woman of Movement and a multidisciplinary artist. Her voice, lyrics and music move inwards and outwards - towards the self, and towards a pleasant, alternative musical journey with a middle-eastern continental twist and a bow towards Polish roots of the artist. We are taken on a journey to faraway lands, soaking in desert like sounds. Sokoya boldly opens lands of the emotional landscape of a Woman and provokes a reflection on a Woman’s psyche. At times it seems like artists from different time dimensions met to create this music. Drums, choirs, piano and electric guitars meet on the soft and strongly woven carpet of Sokoya’s voice.
